Open Watercolor Atelier, 25 October
CHFΒ 60.00

Bring your own idea. Paint at your own pace. Get individual guidance.

This relaxed, small-group painting session is a space to work on your own watercolor project with my guidance.

Bring a photo you've always wanted to paint, explore a technique you've been curious about, recreate the atmosphere of one of my paintings, make greeting cards, or simply come and experiment.

Not sure what to paint? I'll also have a selection of reference photos and ideas available.

You are welcome to bring your own watercolor materials, but you don't have to, my materials will be available for you to use.

Unlike my regular workshops, there is no single painting that everyone follows. Everyone works on their own project, while I move around the group offering individual demonstrations, advice and help whenever you need it.

Small group β€” maximum 5 participants!

Testimonials

  • "Alena, you made me do what I was always scared of: water and tonal studies before doing final painting. You made me realize it's all in my mind and I can do it. And I am so proud of my work. Thank you so much for this πŸ™ and for teaching how to free yourself from reference and play on your own."

    Shalini Rana

  • "Alena, you are a gifted teacher and an artist! I learned a lot from your lesson (tonal studies, wetting the paper, not being afraid to try and just going for it). Best of all, you commented and answered all the burning questions with kindness and love! Thank you ❀️"

    Suzette Worsley

  • "Alena, you are a wonderful teacher, never thought I would enjoy painting waves so much. Your advice to wet paper front and back was a game changer. I also now understand the importance of tonal studies. Thank you for sharing your knowledge."

    Rutuja Lawand

  • "This has been a wonderful month with Alena’s fantastic tutorial as a guide to learning, experimenting and challenging oneself... so many new techniques!!! I have tried in the past to capture waves myself but never could and had given up. Your teaching really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Thanks so much"

    Tamala Sudheer

  • "I honestly feel like learning about tonal studies to be equally, if not more, important than learning how to waves! Thank you, Alena, for teaching us about them and how to create beautiful evocative waves and strokes! You are an excellent teacher."
